Haryana ki iss mitti ko;
kyu haivaan tumne banaya?;
is khoobsurat si nagariya ko;
fir ek baar hai jalaya__

 Matrabhoomi hai ye tumhari;
jisko tumne dukh pahchaya;
maafi ke kabil nahi ab tum sab;
fir bhi maa ne tumhe bachaya__

 Bachpan ki zaroorato ko;
maa se maanga karte the;
ab jab bade tum ho gaye ho;
maa se cheena karte ho__ 

 Rail, road aur dukaano pe;
tum sabne hai kehar barpaya;
harkate ye koi or kare toh;
naksalvaadi vo kehlaya__

 "Jati" nahi hai ye tumhari;
Jo pichda tumhe banaye;
Dange jaise maahol banaya;
Isliye tum pichde kehlaay__ 

 Aarakshan ki iss daud ne;
andha hum sabko banaya;
Haryana ki iss mitti ko;

1.) Hostel Hmmm, right !! Hostel is something like "freedom" . Well i don't know much about it but yes, heard a lot from hostellers. That late night sleep,fun,craziness,Qtiyapa, "LAN" :p are some common activities that you'll gonna miss in your entire 4 years of college life. source 2.) Events  Yeah ! "events". Well this one is not for freshers , because they'll attend as much events as possible. Since, they are new to this environment  they all are very excited for these stuffs. But as they step up into 2nd year they realises, that they are not made for these. As , they don't have much time. It's better to go home as early as possible. Some exception are there as well :p . Being a North Indian, I myself was unable to understand the imporatnce or I can say need of this sport. I have never witnessed any bull taming event and I don't know whether I want to see it in my future or not. But, after seeing massive support of Tamil people for this sport, It forced me to understand the perspective of Jallikattu. Jallikattu has been known to be practiced during the Tamil Classic Period (400-100 BC). It was common among the ancient people Aayars who lived in the ‘Mullai’ geographical division of the ancient Tamil country. Later, it became a platform for display of bravery and prize money was introduced for participation encouragement. It is a traditional sport in which a Bos indicus bull (Kangayam breed) is released into a crowd of people.
